Sportland

Saturday night and just arrived back from Andrew's leaving meal. Early start tomorrow for my first foray into climbing at Portland for years. More after the break.

Sunday morning and the weather was looking dodgy to say the least, never the less we packed the car and headed off. The team consisted of me, Rob , Pete, Graeme and Roscoe. Tommy had arranged to meet us down there. Ten minutes from arriving and the skies cleared and the sun even threatened to make an appearance. We started warming up on a 6b+, slightly greasy holds and a difficult mid-section saw me fall off....not good. The rest of the day was more productive.

Splat the cat - 6c+ - First redpoint ( now graded 7a according to the new Dorset guide )
Listing badly - 6c+ - Onsight
She's going down - 6b+ - First redpoint ( one really hard move for the vertically challenged)
Welcome to the gravity program - 6c - Flash

We finished the day off with an obligatory visit to The Cove House Inn watching the sunset over Chesil beach....perfect.
